A.F.C is a growing club, based on Long Island in NY but open to ferret lovers everywhere! Our goals are to help promote, protect and provide for out favorite pet, the domestic ferret, and have fun doing it! We're currently active in uniting with pet stores and veterinarians to offer special discounts to our members. all you need to do is show your valid A.F.C. membership card. This should prove beneficial to the ferrets and their owners. It will open the lines of communication in an area that we desperately need to expand toward. That is one aspect of our work as a ferret club so far. That's why we need your support. let me explain....

A.F.C. is concerned and conscientious group of ferret lovers devoted to promoting the proper care and understanding of the domestic ferret. We share advice, offer help or just a listening ear in time of need. Our members educate the public about our wonderful pets though fairs, exhibitions, mall shows and more. A.F.C. will find homes for unwanted, abandoned or lost ferrets though out foster and adoption program. With much perseverance we are working toward changes that will benefit the health, welfare and future of ferrets everywhere. We hold a vision of a world that will accept and understand ferrets as we do.

A.F.C. has general monthly meetings to enable us to get together with our members and their ferrets, these get-togethers are educational, informative and fun. Sometimes the meeting will feature a guest speaker and we often have to raise much needed funds for ferrets. These meetings are a great way to get to know each other and talk "ferret talk" with people that really know the language! The Ferrets are usually welcome and they do enjoy the chance to party with their own kind!

A.F.C. also distributes a monthly newsletter to all our paid members. This is our way of keeping you informed regarding current "ferret" events including upcoming shows and educational days. It also includes letters to the editor, a medical column and readers articles that are of interest to all ferret enthusiast.

We need volunteers with new ideas and energy to help, but most of all, you will be part of an innovative, interesting and fun club, with hopes of a better world for our common bond --- FERRETS.
